Housing Authority of Winston-Salem Receives NAHRO Award of Merit

The Housing Authority of Winston-Salem (Housing Authority) will be honored with an Award of Merit by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) during their upcoming summer conference in Austin, Texas. The recently constructed Oaks At Tenth apartment community will be recognized for its innovation in new construction. The Oaks At Tenth surpassed strong competitors from hundreds of affordable housing program award applicants nationwide. NAHRO selected awardees based on innovation in multiple categories, including but not limited to: design sustainability, the design in relation to its surrounding community, total cost and financing of the program, as well as the enduring nature of the structure.

The Housing Authority of Winston-Salem will be accepting applications for our newest property Camden Station located at 1217 N. Cleveland Avenue starting July 2, 2015.  We will be accepting applications for this community at Cleveland Avenue Home's management office only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Applicants must submit the following documents with the completed application: Birth Certificates of all household members, Social Security Cards of all household members, Verification of Income (last 4 check stubs or letter verifying monthy benefit amounts), and two contact numbers and/or email address. The Housing Authority of the City of Winston-Salem (HAWS) is in the process of transitioning its pricing solicitations for products and services to an electronic submission process. This process will require a new vendor registration. If the Notice To Bidders contains the following statement, (To respond please go to  (no "www") and click on register your company. If you have any problems in accessing or registering on the system, please call customer support at 1-866-526-9266), then you must complete the new vendor registration in order to submit a quote, bid, proposal etc. It is the recommendation of HAWS that all vendors immediately complete the registration process. Registration is free and will allow you to have instant continuing access to all HAWS electronic solicitations. Again if you have questions about registration please call 1-866-526-9266.
