HOPE VI / Economic Development Department

It is the vision of the HOPE VI and Economic Development Department through collaborations with other HAWS departments and community stakeholders, to provide comprehensive community development services designed to create mixed income communities. This will provide residents the opportunity to achieve economic independence.

Over the next five years, the HOPE VI and Economic Development Department envision accomplishment of the following goals; completion of the Gateway Commons Community (formerly Kimberly Park Terrace); completion of the Happy Hill Gardens HOPE VI project; and the creation of new and innovative public/private partnerships for the continued development or redevelopment of other HAWS communities.
